Prof. Donna McLaughlin Presents at the IASWG Symposium: From Social Separation to Social Solidarity

Clinical Associate Professor McLaughlin will present “Exploring the Experience of Loss and Grief during the Pandemic: The Heightened Need for Connecting in Groups at the 2022 International Association for Social Work with Groups (IASWG ) Symposium: From Social Separation to Social Solidarity. From June 16-18, group workers from across the globe will participate and present on the powerful impact of group practice, as part of the international virtual conference.
Known for her expertise in social work practice with groups and individuals, behavioral health and trauma; and supervision, training, and consultation with health and human service organizations, McLaughlin is also the co-editor of Revitalizing Our Social Group Work Heritage: A Bridge to the Future (Whiting & Birch, 2016).
In addition to presenting at national and international conferences, she offers training to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, where she is a member of the advisory board; facilitates groups for the IASWG, where she is treasurer and member of the international board of directors.
