Associate Dean Freedman to Participate in Roundtable Discussion on Advance Care Planning

Dr. Ruth Freedman, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, has been invited by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation and RAND Corporation to participate in a Roundtable Discussion on advance care planning.

 

The purpose of the Roundtable Discussion is to inform the Secretarial Report to Congress on Advance Directives on how best to promote the use of advance directives in improving end-of-life care. Dr. Freedman will discuss issues of concern to persons with disabilities at this meeting on October 22, 2007, in Washington, DC.
