10/23: Shaping the Future of Social Work in Health and Public Health

How can social workers strengthen health and public health sectors? The Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH) at Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will host a hybrid event exploring this important topic and showcase how CISWH is forging a path forward for social work leadership in the health equity field.
The event features a conversation between CISWH Director Tami Gouveia and Dean Barbara Jones, both public health social work experts who joined BUSSW earlier this year. BUSSW Professor Linda Sprague Martinez will moderate the event, and Robyn Golden of Rush University Medical Center and Prof. Luz López, a clinical professor at BUSSW and Global Health Core director at CISWH, will provide opening and closing remarks.
One national continuing education credit (free) is available to social workers licensed in the United States after completing a brief post-event quiz.
A special welcome reception for Dr. Gouveia will be held after the discussion. All in-person attendees and others wishing to welcome Dr. Gouveia to BUSSW are welcome to join. Refreshments will be provided.
