5/19: Alum Ruth Rathblott (SSW’94) Presents New Book “Singlehandedly” at BU Alumni Relations Virtual Event

BU Alumni Relations will host an event with MSW alum Ruth Rathblott (SSW‘94) featuring her new book, “Singlehandedly: Learning to Unhide and Embrace Connection,” where Rathblott shares her experience living with a limb difference and her journey to self acceptance. The event will explore awareness around disability, the impact of hiding and unhiding, and how to build a more inclusive culture.

Ruth Rathblott is a public speaker, author, and executive coach and consultant. She has been featured in The New York Times, GeekWire, and The Harlem Times, and presented at TEDx Dupree Park, Facebook, Sony, and Paramount, among others. She earned her MSW from BU School of Social Work in 1994 and spent 25 years in the non-profit sector as an award-winning CEO and leader before shifting her focus to disability advocacy and consulting.
