Join BU School of Social Work professor Luz López at the virtual symposium “Mental Health & COVID-19: Disparities, Strengths & Global Perspectives.”

Hosted by the National Hispanic and Latino Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC), presenters will address disparities, mental health challenges, strengths, and global perspectives regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The symposium will also offer strategies and resources for Latinx and other racially diverse communities affected by this pandemic.

In addition to López, presenters include Haner Hernández, PhD, CPS, CADAC II, Senior Consultant & Trainer; and MSc. Tania Libertad Pérez, MSc. Lineke Ordóñez Palacios, and MSc. Leana Lanuza of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua.

Luz López is a clinical professor at BU School of Social Work (BUSSW), director of the BU MSW/MPH Dual Degree Program, and director of the Global Health Core at BUSSW’s Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH).
