Gayathri, GHSO Student Representatives (Social Events)
Major (Certificate): MPH, Epidemiology & Biostatistics
I completed my Bachelors of Dental Surgery in India .Despite having experience from a clinical background I was always interested to explore outside the box. I wanted to set my foot in work beyond the dental chair and that led me to pursuing my Masters Of Public Health. For now, I’m exploring different areas within public health to discover which field I’m most passionate about. Apart from that my hobbies range from many things whether it’s getting lost in a good book, swimming laps to recharge, or spending time by the beach where I feel most relaxed. Through the GHSO board, I would like to expand my understanding of global health challenges, strengthen my leadership and collaboration skills, and contribute meaningfully to initiatives that address health disparities across communities. I hope to gain practical experience in applying public health concepts at a global scale.

I enjoy collecting and reading books, often choosing a good read over a movie night. My time at BU was truly wonderful, and I’d love to share advice, experiences, and tips with new students, whether it’s about academics, career paths, or even fun spots around Boston (cafes, food places, or bookstores!). As part of the GHSO E-Board, I’ll be working with the team to bring you some exciting events, including hackathon competitions. Keep an eye out and don’t hesitate to participate! Feel free to connect with me anytime, especially on LinkedIn.
