Biography

Alan Balsam, PhD is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Boston University School of Public Health and at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Balsam received a PhD in Nutrition from Tufts University and an MPH from Boston University School of Public Health. He was previously a Director of Elder Health Programs for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and many of his publications are on food and health services for the elderly. Dr. Balsam is a part of the Massachusetts Public Health Association, American Public Health Association, and the American Dietetic Association.
