Staff Senate Elections.

The Staff Senate is conducting elections for new members.

The key eligibility criteria and election timeline milestones are:

Eligibility Criteria

  • In order to be considered for a position, staff must submit a one-page statement detailing why they would like to serve on the Senate.
  • Staff will be considered eligible if they are a full-time employee with at least 75% effort in established positions and not temporary/casual or student positions for a minimum of at least nine months of continuous service at BUSPH.

Election Timeline

October 7: Nomination letters for unit representatives are due to the Unit’s Representative. Nomination letters for an at-large position are due to the current Staff Senate Vice-Chair (Ryan Wisniewski at ryanwis@bu.edu).

  • Units Recruiting New Members:
    Unit 1– Finance & Administration, Dean’s Office and Research & Faculty Advancement
    Unit 2– Admissions, Educational Initiatives, Graduate Student Life, and Registrar Office
    Unit 8– Community Health Sciences
    Unit 9– Environmental Health
    Unit 11- Global Health

November 4-11: Polls open! Elections for unit representatives will occur within the units. Elections for the at-large positions will be held BUSPH-wide. All elections will occur online between November 4 – 11.
