ENG faculty awarded research funding from Hariri Institute

ENG faculty are well-represented in the latest round of the Hariri Institute’s Focused Research Programs, which provide seed funding for convergent research efforts in multi-disciplinary teams to coalesce in sustainable ways. The mission is to evolve and advance discoveries and innovations in computing and AI, with the goal of accelerating research that leads to future funding and broad impact.

Students design healthcare solutions for the underserved

The Biomedical Engineering Society, in collaboration with Bioengineering Technology & Entrepreneurship Center (BTEC), hosted the second annual BTEC x BMES Design-A-Thon on April 27th. The design challenged students to developing a product or service that will yield positive health outcomes for, and/or increase access, to healthcare technologies in underserved communities.

Translational Biomedical Advances Highlighted at Inaugural BTEC Symposium

Promising advances in biological engineering were the topics of discussion at the Bioengineering Technology & Entrepreneurship Center’s (BTEC) inaugural symposium this month. The event featured former BME faculty member and current dean of the Brown University School of Engineering Tejal Desai, as well as several BME faculty members and an industry executive.
