BUSSW at SSWR: Presentations & Community-Building at 2025 Annual Conference

Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will have an impressive presence at the 2025 Society for Social Work Research (SSWR) Annual Conference held in Seattle, Washington, January 15-19, 2025.
BUSSW faculty, doctoral students and alumni will present their research to colleagues from across the country in dozens of program sessions, disseminating new findings that impact policy, public health, and social work practice.
The school will also host a special reception celebrating its leadership and faculty accomplishments, including welcoming Dr. Dolores Acevedo-Garcia, a renowned researcher of child health equity and social policy and director of the newly created Institute for Equity in Child Opportunity & Healthy Development at BUSSW, and Prof. Hyeouk Chris Hahm’s induction into the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare. The reception takes place Friday, January 17, at 8:15-10:00 PM in Redwood Rooms A&B at the Sheraton Grand Seattle (1400 6th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101).
All conference participants and community members are invited to attend the reception – no RSVP or registration required.
