12/16: Prof. Sprague Martinez Presents at Columbia Dean’s Lecture Series
BUSSW Prof. Linda Sprague Martinez will present at the latest iteration of Columbia University School of Social Work Dean’s Lecture on Inequality and Opportunity Series. Her talk, “Achieving the Promise of Participatory Research Approaches in the Context of Structural Racism,” will cover her experience in community-based participatory research (CBPR), common CBPR barriers such as structural racism, and strategies for creating systems change in academic institutions to facilitate CBPR.
