Biography
Christine Yee, PhD, is a Junior Health Economist for the Partnered Evidence-based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC) at the VA Boston Healthcare System and in the Department of Health Law, Policy and Management at Boston University. Her research interests include provider incentive structures, impacts of health care reform and other health related policies, access to care, and area variations in health care utilization. Her work has focused on access to mental health care and primary care in the VHA, physician ownership of medical facilities and vertical integration, geographic variation in back surgery and knee surgery, and impacts of payment differences by workers' compensation, Medicare, and employer-sponsored group health insurance. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of California-Berkeley.
