Avoiding Plagiarism: Helping our students become better writers with Turnitin

Thursday, March 28th 12:00-1:30 in the Founders’ Room

Turnitin is a web-based plagiarism detection service that allows instructors to easily check student papers for unoriginal material. With the new LMS, Blackboard Learn, instructors can now create assignments within their Blackboard courses that can be submitted directly to Turnitin with no license or account needed. Turnitin provides easy to use marking tools to provide richer feedback to students and Turnitin integrates seamlessly into the Blackboard Grade Center. Shawn Lowney, our Turnitin representative, will lead the discussion and demonstration. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP to reserve your seat.
