Reminder from Public Safety About Recent Thefts.
A phone taken from an office in Talbot on Thursday, July 12 is one of several recent thefts of personal items in BMC/BUMC buildings.
Message from Connie Packard, director of the Department of Public Safety, Control Center and Parking Services:
The Department of Public Safety is alerting the BMC/BUMC community to recent thefts that have occurred in our buildings during the last month. In all the incidents, the stolen items were left unattended or unsecured. Our detective unit is investigating the incidents and making some progress. The Department of Public Safety reminds you to secure your personal belongings at all times – even in areas that may be secured by card access. Remember, you are part of the Public Safety mission, and you can best assist us by being our extra eyes and ears. If you see something, say something. Contact Public Safety at 414-4444.
