Dear colleagues,
The Jewish holiday, Passover, will begin before sundown on Wednesday, April 1st and end after nightfall on Thursday, April 9th. Those observing Passover may miss evening classes during this period in order to observe activities for this holiday.
Students are encouraged to reach out to faculty with individual requests/accommodations. It would be helpful for faculty to allow extensions on assignments and opportunities to make up examinations. Faculty may refer to the Boston University Policy on Religious Observance in determining how to provide accommodation if requested.
Recognizing that it may be difficult for students to find food options that align with Passover practices on campus, Graduate Student Life will be providing a limited selection of snacks in the student lounge. Please note that availability may vary. As a reminder, BU’s food pantry is always available for students experiencing food insecurity. If you are aware of any student facing food insecurity, please reach out to Mary Murphy-Phillips (mcmurph@bu.edu) for support.
