Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite faculty to submit proposals for the next phase of the Research on Tap series, organized by the BU Office of Research.

In alignment with Boston University’s Convergence Task Force recommendations, the BU Office of Research is introducing a streamlined, proposal-based approach. Individual faculty or small interdisciplinary teams centered on a clear research theme are welcome to submit proposals via InfoReady Review by April 21, 2026.

Proposals should include:

  • Proposed event title
  • Suggested host(s)
  • Potential BU speakers/presenters
  • A brief (max 500 words) theme description outlining the topic, its connection to BU’s convergent research priorities, its relevance to a broad cross-school audience, its timeliness, and anticipated outcomes (e.g., collaborations or funding opportunities)

We especially encourage submissions from teams working across schools or in emerging areas of strength. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
