Dear SPH Students,

We are pleased to announce the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Fellowship is now accepting student applications for the fall 2024 semester.

As a reminder, the JEDI Fellowship launched last year and is an initiative that provides students with the opportunity to be paid consultants for the School to advance our collective DEIJ agenda. The fellows support the School by ensuring curricula, course materials, trainings, and research activities are inclusive, accessible, identity-affirming, and representative of the SPH community. More information about the JEDI Fellowship and how to apply can be found here.

Over the past year, we hosted nine fellows, supporting six projects at the School. We are grateful to our inaugural class of fellows and supervisors for their great work over the past several months, and we are delighted to begin the application process as we head into our second year.

We encourage eligible on-campus students to submit applications to become JEDI Fellows. The projects in which the fellows will engage will advance unit (eg., department, administrative office, etc.) goals and require a commitment of five to ten hours per week. All fellows will be guaranteed one semester in the fellowship program, with the potential to renew for a second semester.

The priority deadline for applications for the JEDI Fellowship is Wednesday, May 15. Applications will be reviewed by JEDI Fellowship Leadership Team and preliminary selections will be made by June 1, and the program will commence this fall.

All the best,
