BU’s Center for Career Development (CCD) offers a range of helpful tools related to the career development cycle and resources by field, including student and professional organizations that can enhance your professional knowledge.
Handshake is BU’s online career hub, where degree program students and alumni can find regional, national, and international internships and job listings, a calendar of career-related events and programs, and upcoming employer activities around campus. Handshake is a state-of-the-art effort to unite students, employers, and career centers, and is one of the many ongoing rewards of a BU education. Accounts are created for all eligible students; no special requests are needed. If you graduated before 2015 or need to make changes to your account, please use this request form.

Occupational Information Network (O*NET Online): This free database sponsored by the US Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration lists and describes hundreds of occupations in terms of the skills and knowledge required, how the work is performed, typical work settings, salary data from different geographic locations, and more. Enter an occupation keyword in the upper right-hand corner, which will bring you to a list of related occupations. Select your title of interest and begin your exploration journey!
Salary Finders
Occupational Information Network (O*NET Online): Enter an occupation keyword in the upper right-hand corner, which will bring you to a list of related occupations. Select the title of interest and scroll down to Wages & Employment Trends to access salary data by town, city, and state.
Simply Hired Salary Data: Enter a job title and location to access the average annual salary data for a range of related occupations.
Business Cards
BU students can order business cards through ArtCraft using a platform called Pressero. You can create your own login, pay for the cards with your credit card, and ship directly to your desired address. To order BU student business cards online:
- Visit the login page to create a user ID and password.
- Enter your name/email/address on the Profile Page to create an account.
- Choose a card template and enter your information.
- Finish editing and approve document.
- Purchase your cards. The cards will ship directly to you.
