Completing your PSLF Application

After you have completed your PSLF application and submitted it to the Federal Student Aid Office, Human Resources is notified by the Federal Student Aid Office to complete the employer section of your application. The Human Resource’s Service Center (HRSC) is provided your name and a code to access your application to complete the employment verification process.

An HRSC Representative will be asked to confirm information on your application including the employer address and dates of employment that are pre-filled into the form. This prefilled information cannot be changed by the HRSC. If the information is correct, your document will be electronically signed by an HRSC Representative and submitted back to the Federal Student Aid Office. If the information is incorrect, an HRSC Representative will “decline to sign” and enter a reason for the denial. The Federal Student Aid Office is then notified of the completion of the employer section of your PSLF application.

When completing your application, please be sure to submit your PSLF application to the Federal Student Aid Office with accurate information including the correct employment dates, hours worked per week, and employer address (25 Buick Street, Boston, MA, 02215), and employer e-mail address (HR@bu.edu).

Once the HRSC receives your application from the Federal Student Aid Office, it will be completed within three business days. You will be notified that the employer section of your PSLF application has been completed by an HRSC Representative at that time.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact the HRSC directly at hr@bu.edu or 617-353-2380.
