Hey! I’m Jazmine and I came to Boston University from the state of Pennsylvania. I am a proud Black and Puerto Rican woman with my bachelor’s in Social Work and a Minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality studies. I am currently in the Advanced Standing Macro Program. I love social work because it’s important for me to be in a field that is constantly working for the people. Honestly, choosing BU was a really big decision and it wasn’t easy. After touring BU I fell in love with the environment of the campus and the city. As a graduate student, I had expectations for my school to be organized and engaging. BU School of Social Work made me feel well prepared to join the program. Self-care as a graduate student is important. During my free time, I enjoy talking to my family, watching Netflix, and reading.
