Danette Wilson Lawrence is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, program leadership and field education supervision across government, higher education, and nonprofit settings. Her work focuses on mentoring emerging social workers through trauma-informed, equity-centered supervision that supports ethical decision-making, professional identity development, and readiness for advanced practice.
Wilson Lawrence has extensive experience supervising MSW interns and multidisciplinary staff serving residents in affordable housing communities, as well as social service and community-based settings. She designs learning experiences aligned with CSWE competencies and provides reflective supervision through case consultation, documentation review, and outcome evaluation. She has extensive experience delivering supervision in virtual and hybrid formats, using technology to promote engagement and accountability.
