Beth Kellenberg Klein is the director of Student Services and a social work professional with extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing programs, policies, and trainings across educational settings. Her background spans higher education, Title I public schools, community-based organizations, and refugee-serving contexts.
Prior to joining BUSSW, Klein worked as an educational researcher at NORC at the University of Chicago, a nonpartisan research organization, and as a school social worker also in Chicago. Her broader professional experience includes refugee emergency relief, education, and behavioral health support in the United States, France, and Thailand, including two years as a VIA Global Community Fellow in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Klein’s work is grounded in a commitment to equity-centered practice that advances student well-being and institutional inclusion. She was named a 2024 Equity Scholar at NORC at the University of Chicago.
