Two Professors Join Epidemiology Journal Editorial Board.
Matthew Fox, professor of epidemiology and global health, and Jennifer Weuve, associate professor of epidemiology, have joined the editorial board of the journal Epidemiology.
The publication is the official, peer-reviewed journal of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE).
Kenneth Rothman, professor of epidemiology, is the founding editor of the journal, and alumnus Timothy Lash (’99) is the editor-in-chief.
“I see it as a real honor to be part of the editorial board of such a prestigious journal,” Fox says. “I look forward to working with my fellow editors to produce a great product.”
Weuve says she has long admired the journal, “particularly for its willingness to promote thoughtful and productive—and sometimes ‘enthusiastic’—exchanges among epidemiologists.”
With an editorial board drawn from institutions around the world, Epidemiology covers the full spectrum of epidemiologic topics. Journal content ranges from cancer, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses to reproductive, environmental, psychosocial, infectious-disease, and genetic epidemiology. With six issues a year, the journal places special emphasis on theory and methodology, and welcomes commentaries that explore fundamental assumptions or offer provocative dissent.
