Introducing Blackboard Learn: The newest version of the Blackboard Learning Management System

An effective learning management system enables instructors to create and manage course content, use publisher content, evaluate performance and facilitate communication with and among students. Beginning in January 2012 BU’s new, and improved learning management system will be unveiled and available for faculty and students. This session focuses on the course building and course communications tools in the Blackboard learning System. After this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Add, modify, manage, and remove course content
  • Communicate with students using discussion boards, emails, and announcements
  • Customize the course menu
  • Manage users and groups
  • Collect assignments online
  • Generate surveys and quizzes
  • Use the grade book
