Teaching with Technology Lunch Workshop: Introducing ECHO 360.
Introducing ECHO 360: Using Lecture Capture to Extend the Classroom
Monday, November 5th 12-1:30 in L206
Lecture capture is an umbrella term describing any technology that allows instructors to record teaching activities (lectures, etc.) before or during class and to make them available digitally to students. Lecture capture might be an audio recording made with an iPod or an instructional module based on an on-screen activity (such as using Excel).
Benefits include:
– an alternative when students miss class;
– an opportunity for content review; and
– content for blended course development
In this session we will demonstrate ECHO 360, and consider some of the ways it can help take didactic presentations out of the classroom to enable more active learning in the classroom.
Lunch will be served. RSVP to Rob Schadt (rschadt@bu.edu) to reserve your seat
