- Faculty & Staff, Message from the Dean, Students
- December 19, 2024
Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of 2024, and as I approach the end of my time as Dean of the Boston University School of Public Health, I wanted to send my last note with a very simple message: thank you.
I want to thank this community for affording me the extraordinary opportunity of serving as Dean for the past ten years. Thank you for the work we have done together, for what we have accomplished, and, perhaps most importantly, for the joy of seeing this school grow, flourish, and evolve.
It has been a wonderful ten years of my life. I leave with deep respect, admiration, and affection for the staff, students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the school who make this such a special place.
As I transition out of my role as Dean, I am confident that the school is heading in the right direction. Under the leadership of Dean ad interim Michael Stein, and with the partnership of the Associate Deans, the chairs, and the other leaders in the BUSPH community, the school is well positioned to continue to build on its legacy of excellence, through its 50th anniversary and beyond.
I will remain always a friend of BUSPH, watching and admiring the great work you will do in the coming years. It has been a privilege to be part of the story of this school.
Thank you.
Warmly,
Sandro
