Regular Decision Checklist

Spring

• Create your BU Google Email Account. This is an important step to creating your student record with the University and should be done as soon as possible after submitting your enrollment deposit. (You should have received an email after you submitted your enrollment deposit from ithelp@bu.edu with these steps)
• Share on social media that you’re in! #BU2030
• Join the BU Class of 2030 Facebook group
• Attend Admitted Student Virtual Events
• Commit to BU by submitting your $650 enrollment deposit by the deadline in your decision letter
• Submit your New Student Housing Application after paying your deposit (watch for an email with instructions)
• Order your BU swag and show off your Terrier pride!
• Accept your Financial Assistance award (if applicable)
• Register for University Orientation after May 1
• Create your BU email account (watch for an email in April with instructions)
• Submit your BU Alert contact information

Summer

• Create your BU Google Email Account. This is an important step to creating your student record with the University and should be done as soon as possible after submitting your enrollment deposit. (You should have received an email after you submitted your enrollment deposit from ithelp@bu.edu with these steps)
• Complete the online Orientation course (more information shared via email)
• Engage virtually with Orientation Leaders and your peers (watch for an email with instructions from Orientation)
• Sign up for the optional First-Year Student Outreach Project (FYSOP)
• Ask your school to send a final transcript showing proof of your graduation
• Submit your International Baccalaureate scores (if applicable)
• Submit your Advanced Placement scores (if applicable)
• Review BU’s Community Health & Safety protocol and submit your Immunization & Health History forms (watch for an email from Student Health Services with instructions)
• Schedule a visa appointment at the US Embassy (international students only)
• Take advantage of the value packages through the BU Campus Store to order your extra-long sheets and other dorm essentials (you can do this up until mid-August)
• Contact your future roommate
• Submit payment for first-semester charges
• Watch for an email and complete the AlcoholEdu for College® and Sexual Harassment & Discrimination Prevention online courses
• Move into your dorm room

Fall

• Attend Fall Orientation August 26-September 1, 2026, or online
• Attend the Matriculation ceremony on September 1, 2026
• Start classes on September 2, 2026
