Fall 2026 Orientation Overview

Our comprehensive Orientation experience is designed to support your transition and connect you with key resources and people. Below you’ll find opportunities to meet peers, learn from Orientation Leaders, and interact with the BU community—before and throughout the on-campus Orientation program in August 2026.

Online Orientation Course (Required)

  • Discover some of the resources available to you as a BU student through our interactive online Orientation Course
  • The course will open for all new incoming students in May 2026 and must be completed by July 1, 2026
  • Completing the course will take approximately 2 hours
  • The course will remain available to you throughout your first year at BU
  • Have parents or family members that are curious about the course? Guests can register for a guest log in and will have access to similar content. More information on how to create a guest log in will be posted closer to May

Virtual Engagement with your Orientation Leader (Highly Encouraged)

  • This summer, you can start connecting with our Orientation Leaders before coming to campus!
  • If you opt-in to participate, in July, your Orientation Leader (OL) will reach out to you via your BU email to start the conversation
  • Throughout July and August, you will meet with your OL and your fellow new Terriers on Zoom to start forming connections and get all your pre-orientation questions answered
  • In addition to group Zoom sessions, you’ll have the option to meet one-on-one with your OL to get personalized guidance and support as you prepare for your transition to campus

Connect with us on ZeeMee (Highly Encouraged)

  • ZeeMee is a mobile app where you will be able to connect with other incoming students, Orientation Leaders, and the Boston University community
  • Join us for virtual meetups, weekly conversations, and group sessions to help you get informed, connected, and ready for your first day at BU
  • Be on the lookout for an invitation to join the ZeeMee community in June

On-Campus Orientation (Required)

  • The on-campus Orientation program will begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 for all new incoming undergraduate students starting in Fall 2026
  • Living on campus? New student move-in will take place on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25, 2026 . Check out the housing website for information on how to select a move-in time slot
  • Registration for the on-campus Orientation program will go live on May 1, 2026. All students are required to participate in the on-campus Orientation program and the deadline to register is July 1, 2026.

Campus Welcome Visits (Optional) 

  • Visiting Boston this summer? Join the Orientation Office and the Parent & Family Programs team for a tailored campus visit!
  • For more information and to sign up for a Campus Welcome Visit check out the Parent & Family Programs website.
  • Visits will be offered on weekdays between 10am-3pm ET starting Monday, June 1 – Thursday, August 20, 2026.
  • Visits are open to all incoming students and their families.
