For our visitors to campus:
Because of Red Sox home games at Fenway Park on June 23, July 27, and August 31, we anticipate a high volume of traffic around campus and in the Kenmore Square area on those days.
On-street metered parking on our campus is limited. We recommend using public transportation for your visit. For more information, visit our directions and parking page.
If you’re considering attending Boston University, you’ve probably done some research about us. But facts alone don’t tell the whole story. After all, choosing a college or university is a big step in your life. It isn’t just an academic decision. It’s personal. And the best way to see if BU is a good fit for you is to come to campus. Check out our visit programs below.
Admitted Student Visit Programs
Special visit programs are offered in the spring for newly admitted students. Learn more on our Admitted Students website.
Reservations and advance notice are required for some programs. BU Admissions is located at the Alan and Sherry Leventhal Center at 233 Bay State Road. Once you schedule your visit, see Directions & Maps for how to get here and where to park. Please plan to arrive and check in 15 minutes before your campus visit is scheduled to begin.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Visitor Programs for Students and Families
These programs are for current high school students during their college search. Admitted students will be invited to on-campus programs upon their admission.
Your visit will begin with a presentation where you will learn about BU’s dynamic academic and social community from a variety of perspectives. You will learn what makes an application competitive for admission and have an opportunity to have all your questions answered. You will then proceed on a walking tour of campus* where you’ll see everything from the student union to the BU “Beach.” Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Sign up online.
*As our tours are given by current students, they will not be available during certain times of the year – Spring Break in March, May, early September, and during Winter break. Please check the registration calendar to determine if a tour will be offered on the day of your visit.
All ten of our undergraduate schools and colleges offer tours of their facilities. Please make arrangements by contacting the school or college directly.
If you are looking to bring a group of 10-50 students for a campus visit, please submit our group visit request form.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us or call 617-353-2318.
