Update to On-Campus Visits
Boston University is excited to welcome visitors back to our campus! We will be hosting in-person tours and information sessions where you will be able to experience the vibrancy of BU’s campus and meet current students. We can’t wait to see you in-person.
Boston University is open. However, all visitors are required to follow health and safety protocols adopted by the University and as required by federal, state, or local regulations. This includes self-monitoring of COVID-19 symptoms before coming on campus and complying with the University’s safety guidelines. These include:
- Visitors must register in advance for an appointment before arriving on campus. Please select a date from our events calendar to register for a program. Registration is required.
- Visitors may bring a maximum of two guests on campus. All visitors are limited to a group of three (3) individuals, total. Additional members of the same group may not create another group. (For example, one group may only have three members, no other groups from that party will be allowed). Only one member per group of three is required to register.
- No visitors will be allowed inside buildings on campus, other than the Visitor Center. Please note that tours will not include any indoor visits to campus buildings.
- Visitors are required to wear masks inside the Visitor Center building.
Due to capacity limitations under the current COVID-19 protocols established by the University, only a limited number of on-campus programs are being offered. If you are unable to secure an appointment, and would like to visit campus, please note that you will not be able to enter the Visitor Center or participate in our in-person programming. However, you are welcome to take our self-guided mobile walking tour, which provides an in-depth experience of our Main campus, West campus and Housing facilities.
We are following the health and safety measures above to protect our current students, faculty, and staff. We hope you understand. We are confident that you will be able to engage with the Boston University community and explore campus life during your visit. We also encourage you to explore the BU campus online from anywhere by using our interactive virtual tour or registering for a virtual event.
As COVID-19 safety protocols evolve, please continue to visit our website for updates to our visitor policy.
