Faculty and Staff Parking Restrictions during Admitted Terrier Days
During the month of April, the Admissions Office invites student applicants who have been notified of their acceptance to the University to attend Admitted Terrier Day programs. These programs help students and their families make informed decisions about attending Boston University for the next four years. As a result, we must provide parking to these special guests by restricting permit parking as follows:
Friday, 4/10/26
- CAS Lot (J) – 60 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Warren Towers Garage (K) – 75 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Rafik B. Hariri Building Garage (M) – 75 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Agganis Arena Outer Lot (A) – Offline to Permit Holders; Admissions Guests only
Friday, 4/17/25
- CAS Lot (J) – 60 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Warren Towers Garage (K) – 75 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Rafik B. Hariri Building Garage (M) – 75 spaces reserved for Admissions Guests
- Agganis Arena Outer Lot (A) – Offline to Permit Holders; Admissions Guests only
To minimize the effects of these parking restrictions, we ask faculty and staff to please consider using commute methods other than driving alone on the these two Open House Fridays.
If you must drive to campus and are unable to find a space in your lot of choice, we suggest the following alternative parking locations:
- Essex Street Garage & Lot (F), 148 Essex Street, Brookline
- Agganis Arena Garage (A), 925 Commonwealth Avenue
Please note that active permit holders with ADA plates or placards will continue to have access to ADA parking spaces in all lots and garages.

Frozen February
Well folks, it's been so cold, I've had absolute brainfreeze and forgot to publish anything sooner! January's return to campus brought us some record snowfall and chilling temps, as well as frustrating, unplowed bike lanes and sloppy narrow roadways and sidewalks.
Despite the mercury, we've been getting out there! We're seeing plenty of friends coming in to keep their tires inflated, and chains cleaned and lubricated. If you're out there and haven't done so yet, come on by, we'll be thrilled to see you. Especially since it's much easier to get to the BUCK since last week!!
Huge thanks to the Urbanism Club, Boston Cafe Bikers, Boston Cyclist Union, and friends for helping clear the protected lanes on Comm adjacent to BUCK and spurring the clearance of most the protected bike lanes! It was great to see BUCK stickers at the Alex Pretti Unity Ride on Jan 31, even in those freezing temps, y'all showed up with riders around the country and around the world. Then, Saturday the 7th, in swirling snow, you were back at it with us, and with our friends CommonWheels, to take a peek at brand new bicycling infrastructure installed in Boston and Cambridge during 2026. Everyone demonstrated excellent handling in the blowy, slushy conditions, and it was an excellent reminder to all of us just how important protected, separated facilities are to our comfort on the road. And big ups to the plows we saw out there, keeping our lanes clear.

For faculty and staff, if you've submitted your eligibility for bike benefits, we're now accepting receipts. Thanks for your patience as things were a bit bumpy this year. You have until March 31st to submit your paperwork.
And we've got a few more events lined up for February:
The Events:
2/13 Friday 1:00- 7:00 PM
Velotine's Day
Bring your riding buddies and show your bikes the love they deserve. We'll also have valnetines and craft supplies to place on local cute bikes and classics playing in the classroom

How to get from where you are to where you're going, for fun or for work, by yourself or with a group. Learn about tools and tricks to find your way around, as well as accomodations for winter weather. Feat. Kilo3, route planner for Critical Mass.

Wednesdays:

Thursdays:
Coffee: 8:00 - 11:00 AM
Drink coffee, make friends, talk about bikes, watch the olympics.
Errata:
- BUCK remains open to walk in's on Saturdays, but service is limited. Think flat fixes, chain cleaning and lubrication, brake replacements and adjustments. You may also seek diagnoses, but may be asked to return during the week.
