April 2026 at the BUCK!
Weather giving you whiplash? The BUCK is here to get your bike into shape for those increasingly common spells of warm weather. Be proactive and make an appointment to get your bike tidied up! You’re not the only one coming out of winter hiding.
We’re open every week this April, Tuesday through Saturday with a full event schedule to match. From collabs to Midnight Marathon practice and movie nights, we’ll have something for everyone this month. More details below!
The Events:
4/4 Saturday 9:30-12:30PM
Wash n Ride x Boston Cafe Bikers
Give your bike a day at the Comm Ave Spa. Drop by and wash off the winter blues. After, join a short, party pace ride to First Street Market for coffee!
4/11 Saturday 9:00-2:00 PM
Marathon Half Out-and-Back
Interested in riding the midnight marathon, a BU Tradition dating back to the early 2000’s? Join BUCK x CW x Bos Cafe Bikers for a training ride. We’ll meet at BUCK at 9:00 am and roll at 10:00. We’ll aim for Wellesley Hills, where you can choose your own adventure. There are several cafes for lunch, we’ll stop for about a half hour break. Then you may ride back across the finish line for ~20 mi round trip, or take the commuter rail if you’ve had enough hill climbing. Mandatory ABC checks before roll out.

Movie Night: April and the Extraordinary World
April and her talking cat must rescue her parents and other captured scientists in a super polluted dystopian steampunk alternate timeline. Keep your eyes peeled for the bicycle-powered dirigibles!

Intro to Bikepacking
Our friends from Queers on Wheels return to teach the ins and outs of bikepacking. How to pack everything on a bike, choose a route, keep yourself fueled and more!

Babes Bike Books!
BUCK x Femmechanics bring you the second annual Independent Bookstore Day Scavenger Hunt! All folks of marginalized genders are welcome to ride in celebration of the written word, and keep information in the hands of the people. Prizes? Prizes.

BU Urbanism Club: 6:30-7:30 PM
Interested in city planning, policy, mobility justice, and making a difference in your streets? Meet like-minded students and community members and get involved. Often featuring speakers, special field trips, and more!
Thursdays:
Coffee: 8:00 – 11:00 AM
Drink coffee, make friends, talk about bikes
Errata:

- The end of the year is coming up quickly!
- Going home for the summer? Store your bike with us! All unregistered bikes remaining in bike rooms after May 31st are subject to impound. Starting in 2026, impounded bikes are subject to a $50 return fee.
- If you’re staying on campus over the summer, you’ll want to renew your registration for uninterrupted access. Bike room access expires on May 31st for all secure storage facilities except the following:
- Howard Thurman bike room closes April 26th. Bikes will be removed April 27th.
- 32 Harry Agganis Way bike room and the racks at Fitrec/Agganis, Nickerson Field and Rich Hall close May 10th. Racks will be removed May 11th.
