Warren Towers Garage Summer Closure
Beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Warren Towers Garage (Lot K) at 700 Commonwealth Avenue will be temporarily closed for the summer to allow for structural repair work associated with the Warren Towers Renovation Project.
During this closure, there will be no motor vehicle, bicycle, scooter, or pedestrian access into or within the garage.
Ahead of the closure, all motor vehicles, bicycles, and scooters must be removed from the garage by 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Parking Alternatives for Permit Holders
The temporary reduction in parking capacity is expected to impact parking availability across East and Central Campus lots.
Accessible (ADA) Parking
To assist parking permit holders in proximity to Warren Towers Garage with vehicles displaying state-issued ADA placards or license plates, temporary ADA parking spaces will be in place on Cummington Mall between Blandford Mall and Hinsdale Mall.
Employee Permit holders
If East and Central Campus lots are full upon arrival, Transportation Services recommends proceeding directly to the Essex Street Garage & Lot for parking availability.
Student Commuter and Student Flex Permit holders
Parking before 3:00 p.m. on weekdays will continue to be limited to the Agganis Arena Garage and Langsam Garage. After 3:00 p.m. and on weekends, Student Commuter and Student Flex Permit holders may access designated parking locations associated with their permit type.
The garage is anticipated to reopen in August 2026 ahead of student move-in for the 2026–2027 academic year.
