1/19: Profs. Muroff & Sprague Martinez Discuss Behavioral Health Equity & Community Engagement at CTSI Virtual Event
BU School of Social Work professors Jordana Muroff and Linda Sprague Martinez will discuss behavioral health equity and community engagement in a virtual panel discussion open to the public. The event is hosted by the BU Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) as part of its Building a Culture of Community Engagement Speaker Series.
Muroff and fellow panelist Micaurys Guzman, director of recovery support services at Casa Esperanza, will present on CASA-CHESS, a relapse prevention app for Latinx Spanish-speakers with substance use disorders. They will be joined by Miriam Komaromy, medical director of the BMC Grayken Center for Addiction and professor at the BU School of Medicine. A virtual networking session for attendees and speakers will be held after the panel discussion.

Jordana Muroff is an associate professor and chair of the Clinical Department at BUSSW. The author of “Group Treatment for Hoarding Disorder: Therapist Guide,” her work focuses on developing mental health interventions based in community collaborations.
Linda Sprague Martinez is an associate professor and former Macro Department chair at BUSSW. An expert in community-based participatory research, she is co-lead of the CTSI Community Engagement Core.
