Biography

Dr. Jin is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on developing novel Bayesian statistical and machine learning methods for a broad range of problems, including Bayesian nonparametrics, dynamic treatment regimes, and causal discovery. Dr. Jin also conducts interdisciplinary research by collaborating with domain experts to address real-world challenges across various biomedical applications, such as electronic health/medical record data, precision medicine, mental health and cognition among people living with HIV, and early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. He is the recipient of the Leonard J. Savage Award from the International Society for Bayesian Analysis.
