  1. As an alum and a pwd (SCI) I’m particularly grateful for this article as I was recently contacted by an engineer from the UK about something called Inclined Bed Therapy, It involves raising the head of a bed 15cm/6″ to achieve a long 5 degree incline and sleeping with the head higher than the feet. I put my up over a month ago and have become a ‘conversation starter’ in an online group of folks with SCI, (using the ol’ MPH!) b/c the effects on typical SCI sequelae (e.g., neuropathy, bowel and bladder issues) as well as general health (e.g., improved sleep and energy) are profound and they start immediately. https://inclinedbedtherapy.com

The engineer had nearly given up on trying to crack the SCI community then we connected and now i am thinking about this very issue of getting the news out about of this powerful, non-invasive intervention.

Given who might read the article, i recommend you check out the varied conditions from A-to-V (Asthma to Varicose Veins) and all the disabling chronic conditions in-between, that can be alleviated with this free intervention! But if you don’t get beyond this comment in your research know that UK engineer Andrew K Fletcher’s stated goal is to have an impact on the incidence of SIDS and death in one’s sleep.

    Thanks again Alan and Lisa!
