Introducing SPH This Month.

April 28, 2015
Twitter Facebook

We are pleased to announce the launch of SPH This Month. SPH This Month aims to connect our community of faculty, students, staff, alumni, and friends on a monthly basis by keeping all apprised of happenings at the School, ideas that our faculty are pushing forward, and the achievements of our entire School community.

We start SPH This Month in May, always a celebratory month for us as our commencement celebrates members of our community as they transition from students to alumni. This year we are pleased that our commencement speaker is Monica Bharel (MED’94), commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. This choice of speaker reinforces our close links to the Massachusetts practice community, reflecting our role as a top-tier research school with deep commitment to real-world public health education and practice. We will report back on our commencement in June’s SPH This Month.

Meanwhile, I hope that all enjoy SPH This Month. We always look forward to hearing your thoughts on our work, and our communications. Feel free to reach out to me, or Kara Peterson, our director of communications, at kara@bu.edu with any ideas on how we can better keep our community apprised of our work.

One last note. SPH This Month is a curated set of material that is sent to our faculty, staff, and students weekly as part of SPH This Week. If any of our alumni or friends also wish to receive this material weekly, send a note to us at sph@bu.edu and we can make sure you receive SPH This Week as well.

Warm regards,

Sandro
