Program Expectations:
- Monday, June 9th through July 11th, 2025, participants will be in residence at Boston University.
- After the in-residence portion, participants will continue to work on their group research project at least 10 hours per week in concert with their group members and faculty mentors through mid-Aug.
- Participants will attend a virtual group research project presentation in August. Date and time to be determined.
Daily Schedule (in-residence portion)
Mornings
- Interactive classroom presentations with the award-winning faculty of Boston University.
- Hands-on computer training in SAS and R.
Afternoons
- Short assignments providing students the opportunity to apply what they learned that day.
- Working together with professors and graduate students using real data from NHLBI and NIAID.
- Introduction to group research project topics and data sets.
- Initiation of group project research.

- Guest speakers from academia, industry, and government.
- Career panel of former SIBS participants.
