  • Starts: 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023
  • Ends: 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023
Payal Chakraborty (she/her) is a postdoctoral scholar at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She earned her PhD in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University and her MS in Global Health from Duke University. Payal’s research broadly focuses on understanding the impact of processes of disenfranchisement (e.g., reproductive health policies and minoritized identities) on disparities in reproductive health outcomes. In addition to her wide research portfolio in abortion policy, she has disseminated her research beyond academic audiences—through op-eds and media/podcast interviews—about the harmful consequences resulting from the Dobbs ruling in June 2022. She currently focuses her research on quantifying disparities among sexual and gender minority populations, who experience unique barriers to reproductive healthcare, including abortion care.
