About the Role:

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have insights and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior Principal Analyst produces pragmatic and provocative insights which propel Gartner clients towards their mission critical priorities.

The Senior Principal Analyst is a trusted source of advice for clients, tackling complex client challenges and offering actionable insights. The Analyst engages clients via 1:1 virtual meeting, sales support visits and conferences. This role includes both writing and speaking about best practices in Enterprise Risk Management.

You excel at distilling large volumes of data into key insights and organizing ideas in a logical, clear manner to communicate them effectively. Your versatility allows you to seamlessly pivot to new subjects, effectively addressing the evolving challenges faced by our clients. You enjoy helping clients achieve their mission-critical priorities, and you excel in collaboration, quickly building rapport and trust with both clients and colleagues. You’re a confident presenter with a strong executive presence. Your analytical thinking allows you to quickly process information and make actionable recommendations.

This is an individual contributor role, NOT a position with direct reports.

What you will do:

Create high-quality, clear, actionable insights in Enterprise Risk Management. Specific focus areas will include risk identification and assessment, formulating and operationalizing risk appetite, risk monitoring, and risk reporting.

Research, analyze and predict ERM trends and shifts and provide clients with actionable insights.

Conduct analysis in Risk Management and produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, analytically deep, fact-based insights.

Apply critical thinking skills to de-construct and frame challenging client questions.

Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.

Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings.

Actively participate in innovation and ideation efforts to discuss insights; Collaborate effectively with peers in the Assurance community.

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

8 years of relevant ERM experience.

Applicable experience and deep knowledge of the ERM leader (or Chief Risk Officer) role as well as an industry perspective.

Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.

Demonstrate superior analytical skills while applying conceptual models and recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.

Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.

Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.

– Able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role
