Security is top of mind across the University. For us, safety starts at the front entrance, with uniformed staff and swipe-card access or front-door keys depending on your residence. Our Resident Assistants and Res-Life staff work to make sure each student understands that security at BU is a true community effort. The Boston University Police Department also patrols, and responds to emergencies, on campus and the surrounding streets 24 hours a day.

Beyond security services, our goal is to make your home life on campus easy and convenient. Our rooms and lounges are fully furnished and come with free cable TV and Wi-Fi. No need to worry about heat and electricity either – utilities are included!

Many residences offer study spaces, even music rooms, when you need a little extra quiet and concentration or are collaborating with classmates. Laundry facilities are also nearby if not in your building. Plus, they’re all online, so you can see if machines are free before schlepping down with your bags and laundry detergent. And don’t worry, our custodial staff is dedicated to keeping common areas and communal bathrooms clean while our maintenance workers are available 24/7 to help with repairs.

For any questions or concerns, no matter how small, our trained and friendly residence staff is always ready to help.
