AIM: Tuition & Payment
As announced by the president and provost on Tuesday, April 7, Boston University has cancelled on-campus programming for Summer 2020. The nature of the Academic Immersion: Introduction to Medicine and Creative Writing tracks do not make them feasible options for remote learning. For that reason, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel Introduction to Medicine and Creative Writing this year.
The Academic Immersion: Introduction to Experimental Psychology track will be moving to a remote learning environment. Click here for more details about the Introduction to Experimental Psychology remote program for Summer 2020.
The application deadline for Academic Immersion has passed.
A 3-week program
Here’s your chance to do a deep dive into a subject that fascinates you. Picture this: three stimulating weeks on campus engaging in intensive study, with classmates who feel just as passionate about a single academic topic as you do. If you’re entering your junior or senior year of high school, we invite you to apply.
Application Fee (nonrefundable): $50
Total Charge: $5,003
Student Health Services Fee: $25 per visit
The above pricing has been updated to reflect the removal of housing and dining charges for Summer 2020.
The total charge for the AIM program includes tuition, housing, and all meals in the dining hall. It also covers textbooks and all sponsored activities during the three-week program. A $300 nonrefundable deposit (applied to tuition) is required once you commit to attending AIM in order to secure your place in the program.
The application fee and spending money are not included in the total charge. You may also purchase a three-week membership to BU’s Fitness & Recreation Center for an additional fee when you arrive on campus.
The Student Health Services fee is added to your account for each Student Health Services visit.
There is no financial aid available for the AIM program.
Note: Application fees and tuition deposits are nonrefundable. No refund or reduction in the total charge will be made if you arrive to the program late, leave the program early, or are dismissed from the program due to a violation of the program guidelines.
The payment deadline is June 1, 2020 (unless otherwise indicated in your offer of acceptance). Payment not received by the deadline may result in the cancellation of your registration.
