AIM: Tuition & Payment
The 2026 session of AIM was a great success. Please check back on December 17 for details about next summer’s programs and to submit an application.
In summer 2026, the total charge for a commuter student enrolled in the AIM program was $5,991, which includes tuition and lunch (Monday through Friday). The total charge for a residential student was $7,875, which includes tuition, housing, dining (19 meals per week), and all fees. Summer 2027 pricing will be posted on December 17.
The total charge for the AIM program also covers textbooks and other course materials as well as all program-sponsored activities during the three-week program. A nonrefundable deposit (applied to tuition) is required once you commit to attending AIM to secure your place in the program.
A fee is added to a student’s account for each Student Health Services visit.
The application fee and spending money are not included in the total charge. You may also purchase a three-week membership to BU’s Fitness & Recreation Center for an additional fee when you arrive on campus. Please note that, per FitRec’s policy, students must be 16 years or older to use the facilities.
There is no financial aid available for the AIM program.
Note: Application fees and tuition deposits are nonrefundable. No refund or reduction in the total charge will be made for a student who arrives to the program late, leaves the program early, or is dismissed from the program due to a violation of the program guidelines.
Payment deadline
The payment deadline is indicated in your offer of admission. Full payment not received by the deadline may result in the cancellation of your enrollment.
How to pay
Boston University accepts payment for AIM by credit card, check, or international wire transfer. You will need your BU ID number to submit payment.
Specific information for making payment, along with your BU ID number, is provided through our online enrollment portal. After completing your Participation Agreement and paying a nonrefundable deposit, you will receive an email with information about accessing the portal.
Note: International students are also required to submit an Immunization Requirements Form before you can be enrolled in the program and receive a BU ID number.
