If your school/college requires it, apply for graduation. Reach out to your school/college advisor with questions about that process. About halfway through your final term, you can review your graduation status in MyBU Student. Don’t Forget Complete the diploma information task once you are prompted to do so by the Office of the University Registrar. Take the First Destination Survey in Handshake by December 31 to tell us about your future plans! Order your cap and gown! April 15 is the last day to order caps and gowns for home shipping. If you order your cap and gown to be picked up on campus, they will be available May 4-17 at the BU Campus Store. Secure tickets to attend BU Commencement on May 17, 2026 beginning April 6. If you borrowed a federal student loan, complete your exit counseling. This must be completed before you can receive your diploma. It only takes 30 minutes, but should be done in a single session. Post Graduation Understand how your Google storage and access will change once you graduate. Make any preparations to move files to other storage solutions as needed. Microsoft M365 email, drive and file access changes are applicable to GSDM and GRS students only. All BU alumni can keep their @bu.edu Gmail address and continue using it to access Google email, Google Calendar and Google Contacts post-graduation.
