As such, we recommended that international students apply as soon as possible. Ideally, international candidates should submit an application at least 3 months before the start date of the program to ensure they can complete the admissions process and process a student visa in time.

Applications are not considered “complete” until all required items are submitted. Only complete applications will be sent to the Admissions Committee for review. Candidates who submit incomplete applications will be informed of the elements of their application that are missing via email. We encourage candidates to respond to the notification as soon as possible in order to ensure an admissions decision is communicated as soon as possible.
Candidates applying to the dual degree programs, either the IR/JD at BU Law or the IR/MBA at the Questrom School of Business, need to apply to both schools separately. Enrollment in a dual degree program is contingent upon admission to both schools. Candidates should check with the respective schools regarding required exam submission to apply, such as the LSAT, GRE, or GMAT exams.
