Jonathan Greenacre Joins Pardee School Faculty
The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University is pleased to welcome Jonathan Greenacre, Assistant Professor of International Relations, as a new member of the faculty.
Jonathan Greenacre is a scholar and lawyer. Before academia, he practiced law in a commercial law firm. He has provided legal and regulatory advice to the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and central banks in Africa and the Pacific. He focuses on developing new regulatory frameworks for the digital revolution, particularly fintech payment systems/cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, transportation, and the internet of things.
“I’m looking forward discussions with my students and colleagues at the Pardee School and across Boston University about how we can use technology to improve our world,” said Greenacre. “This term I’ll teach a new course titled ‘Technology and Economic Inclusion in the Developing World’. The course explores how firms are using innovative institutions and contracts to reach rural and frontier areas in developing countries.”
