On September 8, 2022, Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies welcomed its undergraduate and graduate students back to campus with an event centered around Pardee community building and facilitating student-faculty interaction.

The event provided Pardee School students the opportunity to get to know their faculty mentors in an informal setting. Students also learned more about the school’s affiliated centers and institutes, offerings from Student Affairs and Services, as well as student-led organizations including the Pardee Women’s Group,  the Pardee Graduate Council, the Boston University International Affairs Association, the Pardee Atlas, and the academic fraternity/sorority Delta Phi Epsilon

Dean Scott Taylor delivered his first remarks to the Pardee School community as the school’s new leader. He welcomed the new and returning students – 666 undergraduates and 102 graduates – who come to the Pardee School from 51 different countries. Taylor also thanked both students and faculty for offering him a warm welcome to the school and promised great things for the future. Associate Dean for Studies and Associate Professor of International Relations Henrik Selin encouraged students to engage with their mentors, meet the diverse faculty, and learn about all the opportunities available to them at the Pardee School.
