Selin Interviewed on U.S. Re-Entering Paris Agreement

Henrik Selin, Associate Professor of International Relations and Associate Dean for Studies at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed by Voice of America (VOA) Russia on President Biden’s decision to re-enter the United States into the Paris Agreement.

The segment explored the global climate agreement and President Biden’s renewed pledges to redouble efforts to tackle climate change. In his remarks, Selin commented on the importance of the U.S. returning to the Paris Agreement, which is much more than a symbolic gesture. He noted that the U.S. stands to play a large role in combatting global climate change moving forward, and the Biden administration’s proposals and commitments under the Paris Agreement will showcase whether the country will lead on this issue.
