Pardee School Faculty Gather at Retreat
The leadership and faculty of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies gathered for their second annual faculty retreat on September 1, 2015, to focus on planning for the new academic years and the long-term strategic goals and priorities for the School.
The retreat brought together the full-time faculty of the Division of International Studies (DIS) and Directors in the Division of Regional and Thematic Studies (DRS). Discussions were led by Pardee School Inaugural Dean Adil Najam, Assocaite Dean William Grimes, and Chair of the Council of DRS Directors Prof. Tim Longman. College of Arts and Sciences Dean Ann Cudd joined the retreat in the afternoon.
The focus of the retreat was the Pardee School. Breakout sessions focused on key strategic goals for the School, graduate and undergraduate curricular innovation, integration of regional studies, and identifying priority areas for future investments.
The Pardee School retreat was held at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, home to the country’s oldest car collection and part of the estate of Larz Anderson III, business and diplomat who served as US Ambassador to Japan in 1912.
