Madison Ingersoll
CAS‘27 Sociology, Cultural Anthropology
Hi everyone! My name is Madison Ingersoll (she/her), but please feel free to call me Maddie! I am in the class of 2027 here at BU. I am from a very rural town in New Jersey called Woolwich where I grew up surrounded by farms and prairies. Here at BU I am a double major in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
I am a mentor through Kilachand’s Peer Mentor Program (a little plug for this amazing group of people!) where I have met wonderful peers while also helping first years adjust to college life. I am also a member of the BU Horror Club where we talk about all things that are spooky, the BU Book & Ink Club that allows me to read and talk about all types of book genres, and the BU Women’s Club Ice Hockey team where I get to play a sport I love here on campus. I have also participated the past two years in BU Admissions Mosaic Community Overnight Host program where I house a prospective student during their open houses. All of these groups have deepened my connection to BU and the other students around me, so please do reach out to me if you have any questions about anything I listed above! There are so many things to do on campus that I’m confident I can help point you in the direction of a welcoming and fun place for you!
In my time here at BU, Kilachand has remained a place of social support and academic stimulation for me and I have enjoyed each class and seminar that I have taken as a college student. In my free time, I love to wander around the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA), hang around the BU Beach with my friends, and binge Survivor and Beast Games with my suitemates! I also love to try out the boba and cafés that are in and around campus, so you will probably catch me there outside of KHC! I can’t wait for my next two years here and am looking forward to everything college has to offer!
