Keystone Project Information Form

Please complete all fields of the form below and include your short project statement (600 words max) and if you are requesting funds, a budget proposal using the template provided. For deadlines, see our Requirements page. Any questions? Email us at keystone@bu.edu.

Please follow the following guidelines when submitting your documents:
  • The short project statement should be submitted as a PDF document and the file should be named lastname_statement (for example: Smith_Statement). 600 words max.
  • The budget proposal should be submitted as a Microsoft Excel document using the template provided and the file should be named lastname_budget (for example: Smith_Budget). If you have issues appending your advisor’s signature, please have your advisor email their approval of the budget to keystone@bu.edu.

The Keystone Committee will review and comment on your materials before returning them to you within a month of the submission deadline. Submitting your materials as requested above will ensure that the committee receives and reviews your materials.

If your project plans or budget needs change, you can re-submit this form at any point.

  • Please share your KHC HC451 instructor's name if you have taken KHC HC451.
  • Please share your KHC HC451 instructor's email if you have taken KHC HC451.

  • Max. file size: 100 MB.

    Only budgets using the budget template provided above will be accepted. Advisor signature must be appended; or advisor must email their approval of the budget to keystone@bu.edu. You are welcome to submit a revised budget for review at any point over the course of your project.
  • Amount of funds you are requesting for United States flights, trains, accommodations, or other travel expenses (whether this is a part of your budget or all of it). This does not include Boston-area transportation such as MBTA cards.
  • Amount of funds you are requesting for international flights, accommodations, or other travel expenses (whether this is a part of your budget or all of it)
  • International travel will not be approved without this explanation of why the travel is essential to your project. If you are not requesting international travel, leave this box empty.
